Storyboard Text

  • Why did you get Tiger?! We need a vicious dog!
  • Our purpose is to bring equality for the underdogs!
  • All man deserves equal rights
  • Segregation is not constitutional
  • A famous picture was taken with the officers using German shepherds against a student civil rights movement protestor. This picture was of a revolt started by Martin Luther King Jr. The picture was the spark that allowed the civil rights movement to sprout and change the United States Government views. Along the way, they showed the brutality of the police.
  •  Dr. King began his journey in Albany, Georgia, where he had been the underdog. Every African American of that time had been forced to be the underdog in almost every aspect of their lives.  This allowed them an advantage when it came to fighting for equal rights; they knew they had nothing to lose, and more to achieve.
  •   Wyatt Tee Walker is another activist that uses unconventional methods to achieve his beliefs similar to Brer Rabbit in a sense. He used African American students to draw sympathy from the public. Nobody would have thought that it was okay to use students against the city’s officials, but Walker did and that allowed him to succeed in Birmingham.
