Scene 1. Democratic Republicans continued to sympathize with France but the Federalists didn't like that at all so they angered over it and called them "democrats, mobocrats, and the other kinds of rats."
"Those Democrats don't understand what they are doing!"
*in the Courthouse* While the Democrats and Federalists were going after each other, the president John Adams got together with some other Congress men and talked about the issue.
"Let's make a law so it can end this!" The Congress men say.
"You got my okay to do so." replies the president.
The Congress men made four laws to protect the U.S. They called it The Alein and Sedition Acts.
