  • The Finch family lives in Maycomb Alabama during the 1930's. The father, Atticus is a very skilled lawyer and he has two kids Jem and Scout. It is also mentioned that this is a time of racism and prejudice. 
  • Climax
  • A young black man by the name of Tom Robinson has been accused of raping a white woman and Atticus is the one who steps up the defend him. This decision was very frowned upon by the town of Maycomb.
  • Donouement
  • Atticus and his children have became the center of attention in the town because Atticus is representing a black man. Such actions where unheard of during those times. During the trials the children learn more about racism, justice and become more mature.
  • Conclusion
  •  At the end of all the trials Tom Robinson is found guilty and is sent away to jail where he is later shot down for trying to escape. 
  • Bob Ewell was a man who has really shown his disapproval of how Atticus was defending a black man. After Atticus had finished telling Tom's wife the news Bob Ewell appears and starts to threaten Atticus, his kids and Tom's wife.
  • When the Finch children are walking home at night they hear a noise and Bob Ewell pops up and attempts to stab them. Out of nowhere Boo Radley comes, grabs Bob's knife and kills him.
