  • Perspective
  • After owning slaves for my whole life it infuriates me to see that the government is now banning slavery in the United states
  • Audience
  • SOUTH The Southerners must have been terribly upset after the 13th amendment because most of them had slaves before it was banned.
  • PREVIOUS SLAVES The previous slaves of the country must have been ecstatic after the 13th amendment was passed.
  • NORTH Northerners must have been excited that the issue of slavery was over. What they didn't know was there were going to be many problems in the future
  • Significance
  • Although it banished slavery in the United States and all of its territories, the 13th amendment did create many problems between the people of the country.
