Storyboard Text

  • Remus and Romulus were put in the Tiber to avoid being killed. The river god slowed the water and allowed the she-wolf Lupa to rescue them. She raised them and a woodpecker fed them, and they grew up to be strong.
  • Years later, Romulus and Remus founded Rome. It was named after Remus. The Romans became and prosperous civilization.
  • On the day that Rome was founded, Romulus was killed. There are many different possibilities that have been examined by historians. He could have been killed by him brother (depicted here), poisoned, stabbed by a supporter of Romulus, or jumped over a wall and died.
  • Years after Rome is founded, Remus dies. Same as Romulus, there are many different possibilities for his death. He could have ascended into heaven to become a god (depicted here), disappeared in a whirlwind, or killed by the Senate so that they could have power.
