On 1430, Burgundy's army attacked a town near Paris with 6,000 troops. Joan's army only had about 300 troops. Soon the French were forced to retreat. When the French towns mayor saw the English and closed the drawbridge on Joan and she was captured.

The English put Joan on trial for witchcraft and heresy. The court made 70 accusations against Joan. On May 30, 1431 a crowd of people gathered to watch Joan be burned at stake.
