Bruno is about 9 years old, his role in the story is being the adventurous kid who always asks questions and always wants to have fun. He is usually very happy and also curious about everything in life. He really dislikes his sister and calls her a hopeless case. He also looks up to his father.
Gretel is 12 years old, her role in the story is being that one annoying sister that doesn't care about anything or anyone besides herself. Her feelings are that is very ignorant and grumpy at times and is not able to find happiness in stuff. She also very dislikes her brother (Bruno) because he always seems to get in the way of her

Shmuel is 9 years old. He was born exactly the same time as Bruno which made them even better friends. His feelings are usually very sad and sorrowful and is usually never happy. He is a Jew and lives on the other side of the fence which is the concentration camp. Shmuel and Bruno become very very good friends for about a year
Brunos father is in like his mid-40s. His emotions are usually grumpy or angry just like Gretel. He is a high classed commandant which means he is very respected. He also owns the concentration camp that is outside of his home. His trait in the story is being the hepless fathers that has no control of his family because of his job.

Maria is a young woman who works for Bruno's family. She is always cheerful and happy just like Bruno's mother. Her trait in the story is being the family maid. She has gotten a strong bond with Bruno which she loves to have. She has this job because Bruno's father helped her and her family out by giving her the job and medical bills for her mother.
Bruno's mother was a young woman. She was always happy and positive about everything and is super overprotective of her son Bruno. Her trait in the story is being the mother that cares about her son. At the end of the story, she loses Bruno and goes into full sorrow for just losing him.
