King Minos wants Daedalus and Icarus to build him a palace and a maze that is impossible to escape. King Minos says he pays well so Daedalus and Icarus agree to do it.
Daedalus and Icarus built the maze and palace. Daedalus then found out that King Minos wanted to put a half man half beast, Minotaur, into the maze with prisoner that can't escape. Daedalus and Icarus instantly want to leave.
King Minos refuses to let them leave the island since they are the only two people that know how to escape the maze so he keeps them as prisoners. Although it is a nice room and king minos treats them well, Daedalus wants to leave and be free. Then he has an idea. He wants to gather bird feathers, sew them together, and stick them onto Icarus and himself so they can fly away.
one.. year... later.. Daedalus wakes up Icarus one night and pulls out wings from under his bed. He tells Icarus that they are going to fly away, don´t fly to high or the wax will melt and your wings will fall off but also don´t fly to low.
Icarus was scared at first but then he got exited that he could fly and wanted to fly higher then the sun. Daedalus tried to tell him not to fly to high but he was to far away for Icarus to hear him.
Icarus didn't realize sweat was dripping down his face and feathers where slowly falling off one bye one. all of a sudden Icarus was falling towards the ocean with no wings on his arms. After a while longer, Daedalus then realized that his son was not going to come up from the water and that he had to move on.
