Storyboard Text

  • Should you wear a condom for this? Something bad could happen. I could get HIV from you.
  • That is just pathetic. We will be perfectly fine. You are just being irrational.
  • It could never happen to me, but I should at least go in to check after how I have been feeling the past few weeks.
  • I am here to see Dr. Jones. I made an appointment with her last week.
  • I will send you back so she can meet you.
  • I was hoping I could get tested for HIV.
  • We use viral load tests, saliva tests, and tests that indicate whether or not antibodies are produced, called ELISA tests.
  • It might not be able to be diagnosed for up to six weeks, so if it tests negative, we will have you come back in a few weeks. I will still give you a saliva test.
  • Based on your saliva test, you are positive for HIV, but I want to test you again in two weeks.
