  • After that, came the peasants. 
  • Next came the artisans whitch are workers that work in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand. 
  • After the artisans came the merchants which means a person or company involved in wholesale trade. 
  • And lastly came the slaves, which most of them worked for the emperor or people higher in the social class pyramid.
