  • The British fought in the a French and Indian war.
  • The colonists were very mad about all these taxes but they were most mad about the stamp act which taxed all paper products. The colonists got mad and started to riot.
  • " I  conclude with praying, that the Almighty may secure the allegiance of America to the Crown of Britain, by destroying the seeds of rebellion, and by punishing the ringleaders of these riots."  Not all people thought the the colonists were doing right by rioting after being taxed. document c
  • People were getting hurt, the British solider's were coming into there towns and hurting the people who did not pay there taxes or who said something rude about the king.
