Hi, my name is John. I just recently learned about how the US Government formed the Constitution and I would like to share what I learned with you.
It all started when the Colonists settled in the Americas. These colonists did not agree with the British government and they trusted them less and less as the Enlightenment period began.
The Enlightenment period caused the colonists to start realizing that they could do more and that they should not be ruled by a king just because he believed that it was his divine right. They began to get angry with the British government and they decided to form their own based on their own ideals.
As the colonists began to evolve, their ideas of government evolved as well. They decided that they were going to be their own independent nation which later led to the American Revolution. Before that, they knew that they needed to have an organized government if they wanted to truly become independent. They decided to form a Constitution as well as a Declaration of Independence.
The leaders of the colonies met together to decide on how their new nation should be run and what the nation would stand for. The main problem they had was that some of the people in the colonies wanted to remain loyal to the British government so they had a hard time implementing the Constitution.
Once the leaders discussed amongst themselves and heard the wants and needs of the colonists, they drafted a Constitution for the new nation.
