Storyboard Text

  • Today, we are doing the gummy bear experiment. I'm so excited!
  • Okay, let's get started.
  • So our problem is we are going to change the temperature of the water and make it warmer and colder.
  • Let's look it up.
  • I wonder what changing the temperature will do to the gummy bear?
  • So the research says, that hot water will make the gummy bear shrink and cold water will make the gummy bear grow and get soft.
  • Okay let's put the gummy bears in the cups, so we can observe them.
  • Then our hypothesis is, if we change the temperature then the gummy bear will expand or shrink.
  • Let's start observing the gummy bears.
  • Look the gummy bear that was in the hot water has disappeared!
  • The gummy bear that was in the cold water has expanded!
  • Our analysis is that the gummy bear changed in many ways that we didn't expect such as we didn't expect it to disappear in the hot water.
  • Our conclusion is heat can make matter change such as the gummy bear disintegrating or the gummy bear absorbing the water so it expands.
