Romulus an Remus, after being found by a slave in a bush and put in a basket down a river, washed up on the shore of a beach next to lupa (a she-wolf) and the she-wolf suckled and raised them as her own.
Romulus and Remus go after their grandfather, Amulius, who had tried to get Rhea Silva to become a Vestal Virgin to stop any claimants to the throne.
Romulus and Remus decide that they want to make their own city. They said whoever sees birds flying over their hill will rule. They waited when suddenly Remus suddenly saw 3 birds fly above him (Anyone close might have heard him calling out to the birds.) Soon after Romulus saw 5 birds fly overhead (after seeing Remus' birds he'd poured a few bird seeds around him.)
Romulus said that his rights were more valid and started to build his city and walls. Remus was starting to get a little bit mad!
Remus started to get so angry that he taunted Romulus about how small his walls were and went to jump over it. As he did he tripped and broke his neck. Remus was dead.
Romulus was now the ruler of the city and he started inviting everyone to join him. He named the city Rome after himself and it grew and grew until it became what we know it as today.
