Storyboard Text

  • The Hundred War started because King Edward III started to claim Frenches land. It was technically his because he was Henry V's nephew, but the French didn't accept him because of him being an English ruler. The French didn't want a English ruler.
  • We don't want you as king. Go back to ruling England.

  • In the Battle of Agincourt, the English taunted the French into coming to the battlefield. When the French came, the English slaughtered the French. It was an narrow battlefield, with 2 forest on each side; it was hard for the French to move. The French had the disadvantage because France had way more men than the English, which made it hard for the French to use their weapons. The long bows helped the English win. The crossbows were less efficient and took a long time to load.

  • Joan of Arc was a teen when she started have telepathic communications with gods or saints. She later fought in the famous war, know as the Siege or Orleans, after telling Charles VII about her communications with god. 
  • The gods have talked to me. They said they want Charles VII as the king.

  • Joan of Arc was given permission by Charles VII to fight for the French. She told her story to the king, and he allowed to fight for the French. The French won because the English were too scared to fight, after Joan of Arc announced her recent communications with the gods. Joan of Arc pretty much won the Siege of Orleans.

  • In the Battle of Castilian, the French taunted the English into coming to the battlefield. The English had no match for the French because the French had better weapons, such as cannons. The cannons killed most of the English, then the carvery comes in an finishes them off. Joan of Arc give the French hope in winning. The French fight for her, even though the English had captures her. The king doesn't rescue Joan of Arc because the English say she's a witch, and the French king doesn't want to be in communication with a witch.

  • The French wins the war. The Age of Exploration starts, and the "power of purse," starts to kick in. The Power of Purse was the right to control the taxation and wars. Feudalism ends, and nationalism reigns. They also start making new weapons.
