  • O horror! Horror! Horror! Tongue nor heart cannot conceive nor name thee!
  • Act Two, Scene 3 Continuation
  • What's the business, That such a hideous trumpet calls to parley The sleepers of the house? Speak, speak!
  • Act Two, Scene 3 Continuation
  • Macbeth enters asking where the King is, and later in the scene is revealed by Macduff that the King was betrayed by the guards.
  • Act Two, Scene 3 Continuation
  • Why do we hold our tongues, That most may claim this argument for ours?
  • Lady Macbeth enters and is told the news about the King. Everyone else in the Kingdom hears about the tragedy. 
  • Act Two, Scene 4 Before Macbeth's castle.

  • Macduff arrives with news about the King's burial, about Duncan's sons who fled, and the Kingship has been passed on to Macbeth.
