That's pretty weird why those adults just laughed when I threw the Bible.
Kinda weird, huh
Tom was never really excited about church because of the really long sermons. This is the first point of satire because many people these days want to become religious and have a relationship with God, but they never want to put in the hard part of memorizing the Bible verses or reading the Bible.
During the church sermon Tom starts to throw the pinch book around his church. The worst part of it was that the adults just watched and laughed instead of stoping Tom. This is the second point of satire because it exposes modern day parenting and how parents let their kids get away with too much and it always ends up going the kid's way.
I chose these two points of satire because it exposes flaws of not just back then, but especially today. A lot of people like to call themsleves religious in our decade, but they haven't built a real relationship with God. Parents in this decade also let their kids get away with a lot.
