  • When Granny says "Go tell that man we ain't a bunch of trees." she is comparing her and her family to trees because they're taking pictures of them.

  • You standin in the missus' flower bed, this is our own place.
  • The film crew is taking pictures of everything without anyone's consent. They even took pictures of a man about to commit suicide. Granny and her family don't like this.
  • Sarcasm
  • Alliteration is use when Tyrone is asking a question very loudly and the narrator is saying he's just his mother, Miss Myrtle. The name Miss Myrtle is an example of alliteration.
  • Theme
  • When granddaddy says this. it is irony. This is because the audience was led to think they're poor, but they really have their own property.
  • There are many examples of sarcasm in the story. in the conversation between the film crew, granny is sarcastic the whole time.
  • You should try to profit or make a spectacle out of people's misery and misfortune.
