A long time ago in a far away kingdom there lived a king and a queen. Their kingdom was in trouble. Their people are hungry and poor, but the king and queen seemed to not care.
In this kingdom, there were three estates. The first estate was the clergy, the second estate was nobility, and the third estate was the common penguins. The third estate made up most of the penguins.
France was having some problems with money and shortage of food. The third estate was suffering. The third estate was then influenced by other penguins new ideas. These ideas suggested equal rights.
Then, the three estates had a meeting, but they locked the third estate out. The third estate met in the "tennis court" and said they would not come out until a new document of government was made.

With rumors flying around the kingdom, the common penguins thought that the king was attacking them. A mob was soon formed and they quickly stormed a near by prison in search of gunpowder. In this storm, many prison guards lost their lives.

The common penguins scare me with their violence. Let's try to escape!
Then a new document was made called the Declaration of Rights of Penguins. This document was about equal rights and freedom of speech. After this document was made, the government took over the church. The king and queen were so scared of the common penguins that they tried to escape, but got caught.
