2 Years Later
Nick reminisces about Gatsby's death/funeral. All he wanted was to give him a good funeral, but when he called all of Gatsby's friends, nobody cared to attend.
Only Nick, Owl Eyes, and Gatsby's father attend the funeral. Gatsby's father brings a note written by Gatsby as a child, which is a list of things to make him a better person.
People gather outside of Gatsby's house to share and listen to stories about him and his elegant stories. There is still no sign of Daisy and Tom, who packed up and moved to an unknown location.
The American Dream
Nick and Tom bump into each other on the streets of NY, but Nick refuses to shake Tom's hand. Tom says that Gatsby deserved to die for what he did to Myrtle.
Nick decides to move to the East. He goes to Gatsby's house one more time and sees that there is graffiti on his house, and decides to clean some off.
Nick goes to the beach behind Gatsby's house and thinks about the American dream, and how people travel far and wide to get here in hopes of a better life.
