They took Jesus to the courtyard and he stood before the high priest, chief priest, and elders. Peter followed Jesus to the courtyard and sat with the guards. They were looking for evidence so they could sentence Jesus to death. They stood up and gave a false testimony, they condemned him then beat him.
The Soldiers Mock Jesus
Amongst the crowd sat Peter, a woman approached him and stated that he was with Jesus, he denied, she called him out again to a group of people he denied once again, and the final time she was sure he was with Jesus; he denied it, then cried.
The Crucifixion of Jesus
The priests, teachers of law, and elders made plans and sent him to the Pilate; he asked "Are you the king of Jews?", Jesus agrees. Chief of priests accused him of many things, but Jesus did not reply. It was Festival tradition to release a prisoner the people wanted; they chose another man, and wanted Jesus crucified.
The Death of Jesus
The soldiers brought Jesus into the palace, put a purple robe on him and placed a crown of thorns on his head. Hit him in the head with a staff, mocked him, spit on him, and then changed his clothes. He was then taken outside to be crucified.
They forced Jesus to carry the cross to a place called Golgotha, he was crucified at 9am along with two rebels, the crowd shouted insults at him.
Darkness covered the land till 3pm, and then Jesus cried out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" in his language. Many heard and gathered to watch him take his last breath.
