Can you be put on trial for one thing at two different times?
Let's look back at the 5th Amendment. It states that it "protects you from being held for committing a crime unless you have been indicted correctly by the police."

The 5th Amendment can also back up the idea of double jeopardy, which means, one person cannot be put on trial for the same crime that that person was already tried and was found guilty for. So no, a person cannot be put on trial for a crime they were already found not guilty for.
