In a society where everyone's abilities are minimized by physical handicaps , a boy named Harrison plots to go against this. When the government find out about this boy they take the 14 year old to prison.
Harrison spends 6 years in prison given detrimental treatment. The now 20 year old man wanted revenge, and prison walls weren't durable enough to hold him and his anger in anymore. Therefore he broke free.
As soon as Harrison escaped he made news headlines all over town. He was describes as extremely dangerous, and citizens were told to make no contact with the wanton man. Government could not take the chance of Harrison convincing the public to abandon their handicaps, and live their unequal lives. One person being prettier, stronger, wiser, handsome, or more talented than another person was too much for anyone to handle.
Just then the news was interrupted by a ballet the dancers were wearing handicaps and they danced horribly. Suddenly the building stated to shake and booming footsteps got closer and closer to the stage, it was Harrison. Harrison gave a huge lecture to all the people about what their lives would he like if they took off their handicaps, then he took his off and avowed how great he was. Harrison wanted people to venerate him. He thought he was the emperor and he needed and empress, a ballerina came forward and they danced until the Handicapper General crashed their party.
That was the end of Harrison and his empress, and at home watching was Harrison's parents, George and Hazel, they cried at the sight of their deceased son. George's handicaps maimed his intelligence and Hazel was a forgetful soul. In sync Harrison's parent completely forgot what they were crying about, the televison was back on news speaking on a different topic. George went to the fridge to grab a drink, not remembering the traumatic scene he had just witness, the death of his own son.
Harrison was gone and his parents would never remember him again. George tried to think but every thought or memory was interrupted by a loud piercing noise from his handicap, he longed to remember something but nothing got through. George was miserable trapped in his own oblique mind. Hazel on the other hand is living her best life. They are forced to live life without their forgotten son.
