We are the two most known leaders of Women's Rights
Hello I am Lucy Stone
I am one of the first advocates of women's equal education and women's property rights
I am a prominent U.S. orator, abolitionist, suffragist, & a local advocate and organizer promoting rights for women
So what is important about yourself?
Well in 1847, I became the first women from Massachusetts to earn a college degree.
So tell me about yourself. What have you done as a leader?
I have written a letter to my husband in March 1776, while he is in Philadelphia, that said: "Remember the Ladies, and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors."
What are your leading roles as the president's wife?
I became the most erudite women ever to serve as a first lady. I call my property mine instead of theirs and I make investment decisions that enhance the family's prosperity
What are your accomplishments?
I helped initiate the first National Women's Rights Convention in Worcester, Massachusetts. I also assisted in establishing the Women's National Loyal League to help pass the thirteenth amendment and thereby abolished slavery.
