  • Brutus enters the Forum with a crowd of plebeians.
  • "Listen, My love for Rome outweighed my love for Caesar."

  • Julius Caesar (3.2.13-245)
  • Brutus speaks to the plebeians after killing Caesar.
  • "As he was valiant, I honor him. But, as he was ambitious, I slew him." (3.2.25)
  • "Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live all free men?"(3.2.22-23)
  • "Does everyone agree?"
  • "I have offended no one."
  • Antony enters with Caesar's body.
  • Antony speaks about Caesar to the crowd.
  • " I have come to burry Caesar, not to praise him. He was my friend and faithful to me, but Brutus says he was ambitious and I believe him."
