Every year the rain would stop and the pond dried at Nya's home, so the village moved to a camp that contained a huge lake. Nya's family and the village would walk for three days to get to that camp.
Like the pond at home, the lake was all dried up but there was still clay that held water. The village and her family did not live here all year round though because of fighting. They really only live at the lake during the dry season.
When Nya moved here she still had the same work as she did back home. She still had to gather water everyday morning and night. To get the water she would take her hands and dig. She would keep digging the clay which got wetter the deeper she digged. When she got deep enough water would start to seep in. The only bad things about the water was that it wasn't very clean .
