Storyboard Text

  • We walked across the street to Miss Maudie's house and she told us we could take all of the snow we could carry
  • Why don't we go ask Miss Maudie if we can borrow some of her snow to make a snowman
  • Oh my, Scout! Maycomb hasn't had snow it years! Isn't this wonderful.
  • We kept building and adding dirt with snow until we created what we thought was a good looking snowman
  • We don't have enough snow to build a big snowman
  • It's okay we can cover the dirt with snow after we finish
  • The snowman's round stomach and face almost exactly resembled Mr. Avery.
  • Look at it Scout, ain't it just lovely?
  • It's lovely Jem, looks almost like he'd just get up and start talk to you.
  • Jem put up a defense with Atticus, but it was no use.  We ended up having to figure out how to change the snowman completely.
  • Jem you have got to fix up that snowman. You can't just go around making caricatures of your neighbors. I don't think Mr. Avery would appreciate you making a snowman of him like that.
  • Please Atticus it ain't a caricature. It looks just like Mr. Avery.
  • Jem raced across the street and disappeared into Miss Maudie's backyard. He boastfully returned with a sunhat and hedge-clippers gripped tightly in his hands.
  • Jem what are we going to do now?
  • Don't worry Scout. I have a great plan!
  • Look at this Scout, ain't it wonderful. You would have never guessed this was Mr. Avery.
  • It sure does look great Jem.
