Hey Jennifer! There's a HUGE party happening this weekend at a sophomores house while her parents are out of town. Everyone's going to be there.
I'd Love to go! It would be a great way to meet new people but my parents would never let me go since her parents are out of town.
Just don't say anything about her parents not being there. Then if they do ask, just lie to them
I'm really close to my parents though and I never lie to them. They trust and respect me which makes it harder to lie to them. If they found
Mom and Dad, can I go to a party this weekend. It would be a great way for me to make new friends at this new school. However, her parents will be out of town during the part.
Outcome #1- Telling her Parents
Mom and Dad, can I go to a party this weekend. It would be a great way for me to make new friends at this new school.
Yes, her parents will be watching over the party.
Outcome #2- Lie to her Parents
Are her parents going to be at the party?
I would recommend Jennifer choose the first outcome and tell her parents. I chose this option because Jennifer wouldn't lose the trust of her parents. If her parents found out that she didn't tell them about the party they might not trust her anymore and Jennifer would let her parents down. However, if she tells her parents, there could be a opportunity that she would be allowed to go to the party.
