  • Irish who suffered from poverty depended on potatoes. If the crop failed to grow, a lot of people suffered from starvation. Many Irish started migrating to the United States in hope to stop suffering from starvation.
  • Immigrants from France were in seek of freedom of rights and potential success in money, that is why they came to the United States. Also to escape the French Revolution
  • Germans came to the U.S for many reasons but the main reasons were because they were seeking religious or political freedoms and economic opportunities.
