The Law of Conservation of Mass
This storyboard does not have a description.
Hi I'm Antoine Laurent Lavoisier, but you can just call me Antoine. I will be teaching you about the Law of Conservation of Mass.
The Law of Conservation of Mass states that mass cannot be created or destroyed.
But What does that mean?
In 1785 many chemist believed that when something was burned it's mass would change.
Through a series of experiments I managed to capture all by products of a chemical reaction a measure them I discovered that when matter changes state it does not lose or gain mass.
Ok, I understand when matter changes from a solid to a liquid, a liquid to a gas or a gas to a solid it's weight might change but its mass doesn't.
