Storyboard Text

  • Protaginist
  • *dreaming about turduckens*
  • Antagonist
  • Eli you cannot be in here! Don't touch that!
  • Dynamic Character
  • Ahh get away from me!
  • Eli is the protagonist in the Compound because he is the main character of the story. I know this because the story uses words such as "I", "me", & "my". The whole story is written from his point of view. For example, "I ducked down in case she turned around", "I took a sip of water", and "That night I dreamed about turduckens."
  • Static Character
  • Dad is the antagonist in the Compound because he always gives advice to Mom, Lexie, Tereese, and Eli on what they should do and how to do it. I know this because Dad basically runs the compound and he says thing like "You're not allowed in here", and you can't do that."
  • Round Character
  • Eli is the dynamic character in the Compound because he has changed his mind or undergoes an internal change several time in the book. I know this because he changes about things like the supplements at first he doesn't want to meet them, "I won't get close to them". Then Eli doesn't want to be touched, "Sweat broke out on my forehead, one of the supplements had touched me." And finally Eli trusted his Dad and then found out more things he had been keeping, "Angry at the possibility that my father was keeping things from me." Now Eli is used to it all.
  • Flat Character
  • Mom is the static character in the Compound because she does not undergo any changes throughout the book. I know this because Mom knew about the Compound and has felt the same ever since they entered. Clea feels as there is nothing she can do about it either.
  • Eli is the round character in the Compound because he is described in depth with many details. I know this because he is also the main character and the dynamic character. "My dark hair hangs over my face", "I didn't want to touch anyone", "I was shocked".
  • Tereese is the round character in the Compound, I know this because Tereese is explained in very little details and rarely appears in the story.
