The Shocking Truth About Static Electricity BY: Howraa Amen
Lighting is actually natures electricity. Lets see what happens when I attach a pointy wire to the top of my kite and connect it to a key with a string
Lightning has a large electric potential. a large electrical current can happen if lighting strikes the pointy wire on my kite!
WOW! and good thing you had a ribbon on or you would have been a goner!
OUTCH! I touched the key and I felt a shock
At least I created electricity so now you can have light and wifi in your life
The pointy wire attracted electrical charge from the lightning causing static discharge (SHOCK) when I touched the key
I shall call this pointy wire an lightning rod! the lighting rod acted as a conductor and drew electricity into my kite. The Kite and string were good for electric induction.
Thankfully I tied a ribbon to the end of the string to act as an insulator. if it wasn't for that ribbon I would have been a dead man!
Hey Howraa i was outside flying my kite and lighting had givien off an electrical field to the keys and the lighting had an electric current to it.
I KNOW i can finally live my life!!!
