Ponyboy is my character
"Glory, what time is it?"
I don't know i fell asleep too, listening to you rattle on and on. You'd better get home.
I sat up shivering. The stars had moved. "Glory what time is it?" "I don't know. I went to sleep listening, too, listening to you rattling on and on. You'd better get home. I think I'll stay all night out here." Johnny's parents didn't care if he came home or not. PG. 49
I ran home, trembling at the thought of facing Darry. I peeked in the window. Soda was stretched out on the couch asleep, but Darry was in the armchair, reading the newspaper under the lamp. I gulped, and opened the door softly. He was on his feet in a second. He fought with me and i protected Soda. He whirled around and slapped me so hard it knocked me against the door. Pg. 48-49
I turned and ran out the door and down the street as fast as I could. I was running away. "Johnny?" I called, and started when he rolled over and jumped up almost under my feet. "Come one Johnny we are running away." Johnny asked no questions and we ran to the park. Pg. 51
