New England Colony
Fishing was the main source of income due to their poor soil and cold climate
The Logging industry was also very important to the new england colonies because in order to make the fishing boats and boats for trade transport they need an abundent supply of wood from the forests
In the New England colonies due to the climate and soil the only type of farming done there was subsistence farming
The Middle Colony had moderate weather and rich soil which helped with the production of their cash crops. They were also home to Quakers and Catholics and were known to be very tolerant.
They grew wheat, corn, tobacco and rye and cotten
In the Southern colony African Americans where captured as slaves to work at the plantations
The Southern colony had rich and fertile soil with long growing seasons and warm weather.
The African American slaves produced Indigo, cotton and tobacco
