In the end, all the apples lived happily ever after, never questioning their physical appearance again because they knew that they were all perfect just the way they are!
Once upon a time there was a garden full of beautiful apple trees, all different shapes and sizes. It was a lovely day and all the apples waited patiently for the children to come pick them as they hung from their branches.
There was one tree that was the biggest in the whole garden, filled with tons of perfect, red, juicy apples. Although, there was one apple that was always a little different. He looked exactly the same as the others, except it had a small bruise on its side.
The other apples on the tree always made fun of the bruised apple because he did not look the same as them. The bruised apple began to grow very sad and could not understand why all of his fellow apples made fun of him…
As the days passed, the little children would run through the garden and pick the ripest apples, never even looking at the apple with the small flaw. Even though the bruised apple was not the only of his kind in the garden, he still felt very sad that no one would acknowledge him.
He watched as the children would pick the ripest apples, leaving him and the others like him hanging from their branches. One day a little girl even came by and after picking one of the bruised apples she said: “ew this one is ugly, I can’t eat this!” The bruised apple then watched as his other bruised friend was dropped on the ground by the little girl.
