  • Man vs. Fate 
  • Man vs. Nature 
  • Romeo is struggling with being banished and threatens to kill himself. "There is no world for me outside the walls of Verona, except purgatory, torture, and hell itself."
  • Man vs. Man 
  • Tybalt was killed by Romeo after Tybalt killed Mercutio. "Romeo, away, be gone! The citizens are up, and Tybalt slain. Stand not amazed. The Prince will doom thee death If thou art taken. Hence, be gone, away!"
  • Man vs. Society 
  • Juliet hears a nightingale song. She wants the night to last because Romeo is going to be banished. "With thou be gone? It is not yet near day."
  • Act 4 Scene 4 Man vs. Man conflict
  • Mercutio is fighting Tybalt. "This but begins the woe others must end."
  • The two families are given the law by the prince. "Benvolio, who began this bloody fray?"
  • Romeo and Paris are fighting for the love of Juliet but in the end she still remained true to Romeo. She takes the potion to be with Romeo. "He’s looking for Romeo because Romeo killed him with his sword. Wait, Tybalt, wait! Romeo, Romeo, Romeo! Here’s a drink. I drink to you.
