The quality of treatment from industrial organizations is absurd!
Who's with us?!!!!!
I am! I am! Me too!
What should we be called?
What about the Industrial Workers of America?
No.The Industrial Workers of the World is better....agreed?
Eugene V. Debs, Big Bill Hayward, and Mother Jones all discussing topic of industry mistreatment
No more low wages for women!!!!!! Until our wage is fixed, there will be no work!
Minorities, immigrants, and women all come together with the IWW leaders.
This shall be no more- we must revolt!
The Industrial Workers of the World was established on June 27, 1905 in Chicago, Illinois.
Sigh, will this ever change?
Quit ya griping, at least we make some money
All we do is have to wait until 1938 for Congress to pass labor laws
1912, the IWW organized and carried out the Lawrence Textile Strike in Lawrence, Massachusetts. (Wages for women were decreased by $0.32)
1913, the IWW organized and lead the Paterson Silk Strike in Paterson, New Jersey. Paterson relied on skilled immigrants to produce silk by hand loom. Power loom would have them running four massive looms rather than two.
The IWW was apart of the process of labor laws. Though the strikes didn't produce much change instantly, laws were eventually put in place :)
