Right from the start, Eleanor and Park were destined to become something great, ever since Park was stuck sitting next to that awkward new girl, and Eleanor was forced to sit next to that mean quiet boy.
Eleanor was immediately disliked by the other kids in school. She was utterly alone and consistently belittled.
But that slowly started to change as Eleanor and Park warmed up to each other. She found an escape in the comics he shared, and the music he gave her. She found a comfort in seeing him, knowing someone cared for her.
But as Eleanor's home life went from bad to worse, she knew she couldn't stay for long. Not even Park could save her from the trouble that awaits her the next time her stepfather sees her.
So they ran. Eleanor was safe with her uncle, while Park would walk around town wondering about how she is doing. Eleanor, having always been afraid of love, has ignored Park, believing what they had wasn't real.
But just when he was about to give up, Park received a letter from Eleanor... just three words long... Park was everything Eleanor needed, and Eleanor was everything Park wanted.
