  • What are you getting to eat for breakfeast?
  • Probably a piece of toast with avocado.
  • No protein?
  • Whats that?
  • Well you have carbs and lipids on your plate but no protein.
  • Its probably not that important since I already have carbs and lipids on my plate.
  • There are two kinds of proteins; complete and incomplete. Complete has all the essential amino acids while incomplete does not. Proteins are very important for your body!
  • How are they important?
  • Proteins help with growth and development. They act as antibodies to fight of diseases. Since you are pregnant, you need extra protein to build new cells. Make sure not to eat too much, as eating too much protein can be harmful. Great sources of protein is beans, peanut butter, and rice.
  • You definitely should.
  • Maybe I should put some protein on my plate.
