Storyboard Text

  • It is important to learn about strangers and what to do if ever in a situation with a stranger and you are in danger.
  • We will talk about what a stranger is and ways to avoid strangers and methods to remember.”
  • “How do we know if a person is a stranger or dangerous?”
  •  “Good question! A stranger is someone who is unfamiliar to you. They may be acting friendly but they are still a stranger if you are not familiar or comfortable around them.
  • The first thing we will do is identify safe adults and a safe word only you and the safe adults around you will know.”
  • “Other than my parents, who can I trust as a safe adult?”
  •  “Police officers, teachers, or close family friends. These are all the people you can go to when you feel in danger. You should identify a safe word all these adults should know
  • “What if we have to walk home alone or have to be home alone?”
  • “Talk with your parents and friends about always having someone with you. At times this will not be possible so you should set guidelines about when you have to be alone in order for you to know what to do in case of a stranger situation.
