Storyboard Text

  • See?! People like you are the reason why laws are set. We have standard laws which protect us from abusing our liberties. You should receive a corresponding punishment for this crime. Although I do not believe in death, you should still be put in jail or labor to pay back for your sin!
  • Our government should be respected. We should never turn towards aristocracy or too strong of a government, however, we do need some power to control over us. No set religion should be related with the government. If we are given our respective liberties, then I don’t see why its so wrong to listen to the government.
  • We shouldn't just settle for religious toleration. No. We will strive for religious freedom in this state. I came all the way from France to protect our rights as humans. We shouldn't discriminate against those who don't believe the same things. I, as a Catholic, believe that God exists. But rather than religion there is another bigger topic of life.
  • Something bigger than religion is our responsibilities as citizens. Although we should be free from oppression by governments like the British. The society should not stray away from helping their own country. The society should not be based on money or hierarchy but rather on civic responsibility. We have freedom but we must support the country and follow laws.
  • This is our meaning in life! To be generous and encourage traits in the civic character. It is our blessed responsibility to maintain our liberties, freedoms, and patriotism. We should learn from our experiences. Of course school may help, but the most lessons and influences are taught through experiences. Knowledge stems from experiences. We are nothing but objects if we do not maintain our freedoms and responsibilities.
  • Haven’t you heard? “ Humanity has won its battle. Liberty now has a country.” “Defender of the liberty that I idolize, myself more free than anyone, in coming as a friend to offer my services to this intriguing republic, I bring to it only my frankness and my good will; no ambition, no self-interest; in working for my glory, I work for their happiness.” Our most important role is our freedom.
