  • The Theme in this scene on the storyboard is appearance v.s. reality between Duncan and Lady Macbeth talking. In the conversation Duncan and Lady Macbeth are having is about how he is giving her gratitude towards her because she is hosting him very well and letting him stay at the castle. The appearance Lady Macbeth is giving off is a very friendly and welcoming attitude towards Duncan. In reality Lady Macbeth is just loving that Duncan is spending the night at Macbeth’s and her castle because they are planning to murder him. Duncan is falling perfectly into Lady Macbeth’s trap.

  • "Is the king stirring, worthy thane"(2.3.40)
  • The Theme in this scene is on appearance v.s. reality between the three Witches and Macbeth. The witches make Macbeth’s prophecy sound and appear very exciting for Macbeth because its positive news for him. In reality the prophecies turn Macbeth into a terrible ruler and the ambition takes over him, which leads to him Murdering people for power.
  • Theme: Appearance v.s. Reality.(3.2)
  • "Come on, gentle my lord, Sleek o' er your rugged looks. Be bright and jovial among your guests tonight"(3.2.28-30)
  • The Theme in this scene on the storyboard is appearance v.s. reality between Macbeth and Lennox. Macbeth has made it appear for him to be a noble sir to people, but in reality he has killed the king for power. Macbeth has been acting very well towards people to be called noble sir. He actually is the opposite of a noble sir because of murdering the king.
  • Theme: Appearance v.s. Reality. (5.1)
  • "Ay, but their sense is shut"(5.1.22)
  • The Theme in this scene on the storyboard is appearance v.s. reality between Macduff and Macbeth. Macbeth has been appearing like a worthy thane, but in reality he is not at all because of what he had done, which was murdering the king of Scotland. Ambition has taken over Macbeth.
  • "Good morrow"(2.3.39)
  • The Theme in this scene on the storyboard is appearance v.s. reality between Lady Macbeth and Macbeth. Lady Macbeth tries to make it appear to Macbeth that everything is ok and just go host your guest at the banquet that night. She makes seem like thats the only thing he needs to be worrying about. In reality Macbeth in frantic inside because he had killed the king go Scotland and found out that Banquo was killed too. Macbeth is basically going insane on the inside, everything starts to build up on him.
  • "So shall I love, And so I pray, be you. Let your remembrance. Apply to Banquo; present him eminence. Both with eye and tongue: unsafe the while that we, Must lave our honors in these flattering streams"(3.2.31-6)
  • The Theme in this scene on the storyboard is appearance v.s. reality between Lady Macbeth’s Gentlewomen and the Doctor. During this scene Lady Macbeth is in the room sleep walking. When the Gentlewomen and the Doctor watching this action happen they both can see that her eyes are open. The appearance Lady Macbeth is giving off is that her eyes are open, but in reality she is sleep walking and can't see at all.
