  • The Crossing of the First Threshold
  • Odysseus wants to reject his call to action, helping fight the Trojan War, but he knows that he must fight in the war in order to keep Ithaca in the trust of the other Kings for the future. He doesn't want to leave Ithaca because his wife Penelope just had their son Telemachus.
  • Belly of The Whale
  • While Odysseus is in Troy fighting the war a great idea comes to him. This idea was given to him by Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom. Athena came up with the idea for the Trojan Horse. It merely seems like a wooden horse symbolizing as a trophy for winning the war but little did they know, men were waiting inside until night fell to come out and fight the last battle to win the war. Her aid is present many other times.
  • The Road of Trials
  • Thank you for everything you have done.
  • Odysseus and some of his men have left Troy to return home to Ithaca. Odysseus and his men are sailing the Mediterranean unaware of what they are going to encounter next.
  • Odysseus and his men stab Polyphemus, a cyclops, in the eye after getting him drunk. Since he is now blind hey sneak out of his cave on the underbelly of his sheep. As they are leaving Odysseus taunts, and Polyphemus hurls rocks at their boat. When Odysseus continues to taunt, Polyphemus asks his father, Poseidon, to curse Odysseus making his journey hard and long, he will return along to bad times at home.
  • Throughout their journey, Odysseus and his men went through many trials and hardships. Some of these include Cyclops, Circe, and the underworld. On Circe's island they had to consume moly in order to not be turned into pigs because of Circe's powers. When they arrived on they island, they noticed something strange. Their were a lot of tamed animals all around.
