It was 1930, when Noah McVicker worked in a soap factory in Ohio center.
He prepared with fluor, water, salt, boric acid, and silicone oil a white sticky dough, capable of removing the soot that the coal heating left on wallper. This sticky dough, had a big success, because it was effective.
Then ended the Second World War and coal heating ceased to exist thereforethe sticky doug hwas no longer necesary.
Noah wanted to close the factory, but his sister in-law gave him the idea of turning his stick dough into clay, because he reaized that his students used it for another purpose.
He took the idea and turned his stick dough into children's play clay and it was a great success, and he called Play-Doh
