I have two best friends. Their names are Ernst Bauer and Wilhelm Hoffman. Ernst farms and collects fruits, and Wilhelm take cares of logistics and the money accounted for, like an accountant. Well, sort of. We live together in a house.
Life during the Great Depression
Our money is gone!!
We talk a lot. Like, a lot. It can be a day where we talk for 10 hours straight, even during work because there is so much to talk about! Work, life and even talk about how society is these days.
How my friends helped me
Everywhere I go, I hear people talking about me, trying to criticize me and bring me down.
How my friends help me
The Great Depression led about at least 15 million people to go unemployed as well as half of the country's banks leading to failure. Work became very tough and I had to work very hard together with Ernst and Wilhelm to be able to make ends meet.
Ernst and Wilhelm were willing to help me, even though they were suffering. They offered to help pay part of the price for food for 1 person, and gave the food to me. I could not be more grateful!
They also come along and comfort me whenever I am sad because of criticisms from others
