Storyboard Text

  • Let's take a look at how some flat characters are made... We are now looking at the life of Harvey the barter.
  • Harvey is trading food for the resources that some of the main characters gained. He never changes and he does help Alex and Kevin throughout the novel The Dead and the Gone.
  • On page 225 Alex and Harvey are having this conversation. This is just one example of how he is mostly self-centered and devious.
  • "I can't name names, but the man who's taking the her is very well connected."
  • "You expect me to trade Julie?
  • "I do mind" (page 80) *storms of to her room*
  • Julie is a very round character because throughout the book she impacts the main character and changes a lot.
  • She acts very immature here and many other times.
  • On pages 128 and 129 a fight starts and Julie almost gets hurt but luckily Alex saves her.  After this happened she matured a lot.
  • "I hate you!" *storming into bedroom and slamming door*
  • Now she is back to overreacting about having to do work on page 205. This causes a lot of drama and proves she is a round character.
