Storyboard Text

  • Climax While Thisbe is still concealed, Pyramus arrives to find the bloody veil. He immediately assumes Thisbe was killed by the lioness. Filled with guilt, he stabs himself with his sword.
  • Falling action Thisbe finally comes out from hiding only to find her lover is dying. After he dies in her arms, she blames herself and also kills herself with Pyramus' sword. This shows the theme that love is a powerful force because it drove these two lovers to their tragic fate.
  • Resolution The couple is buried together, and their love is symbolized through the berries of the mulberry tree. Once white and now forever blood-stained purple, the berries show how Pyramus and Thisbe's love is eternal.
