  • On sunday everyone except for Pim and Anne was sitting next to the wireless listening to the "Immortal Music Of The German Masters." Peter was getting annoyed at Dussel for constantly turning the knobs.

  • Peter goes up into the attic to see Anne looking through the bookshelf. He began to tell her about what had happened downstairs.

  • Peter then begins to tell Anne how he doesn't say things easily. He stutters and gets tongue twisted. He stops conversations because he doesn't know what to say. Peter says he admires Anne For never being afraid to say what she means.

  • Anne explains how he was making a mistake, and that she doesn't say things the way she means to, and that she talks too much and for too long.
  • Anne laughed at herself over that last sentence, but she wanted Peter to continue talking about himself. She went, sat down on a cushion and wrapped her arms around her knees.
  • Anne was glad that she wasn't the only one in the house that got so upset so easily. Peter gave her the feeling of the same friendship she had with her girlfriends.
