Are forest fires good for the environment? They can be! When a natural forest fire starts, it’ll burn hot, around 1,500°F and will burn the dead stuff!
With all of the dead stuff gone, new plants and trees can grow.
This process is called ‘succession’. It’ll start with a pioneer or colonizers. Sometimes it a flower or a seed that can only start growing after a fire!
After several years, new life will began to get a hold in the barren landscape.
After some time, young trees will begin to form a small, spread out forest. But one non the less.
After about 10-15 years, the forest will become more developed and different spices of trees will prevalent.
