  • Women were discriminated. Women were voiceless and deprived of their right to speak. Men were able to say much more than women. They could talk to women in a disrespectful and derogatory manner. Woman were treated very different than men. 
  •  They were unable to enter the professions, laws, medicine, politics. Women weren't allowed to vote. Women were only able to work in domestic service as cooks, maids etc. This shows women weren't able to be apart of the government.
  • Men were given more advantages and were looked at higher than women. Women were belonged to their fathers or brothers if the father died. Many women wealthy married around age 12. This shows how different it was for having a family for a men and women. This shows women were expected to do what they were told.
